Did my bi-weekly checkup on !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! to see if there are any updates, and apparently they decided to post about a rallyX happening tomorrow two weeks ago. Seriosuly, two weeks of notice isn't enough. This is what always happens. I'd have taken Charlie out to at least two rallycrosses by now if only they could get their shit together.

Because they are volunteers who have other priorities in life also.

Yeah, but only announcing it two weeks out? The FIRM is a dedicated motorsports facility and it's being posted by them, not a club.

Now watch them be surprised by the low attendance that loses money on the event.

I wouldn't be surprised. The FIRM changed owners recently, and while it seems like they've been trying to get more events on the calendar (it used to be pretty much just a driving school, iirc), they don't seem to be able to announce things more than a few weeks ahead of time. For example, they organized a stage rally that took place about a month ago, which is awesome. I was so incredibly excited, but one of the requirements was a roll cage. Makes sense, and I've been planning on installing a roll cage in Charlie anyway, so I would have just made that a priority, but they didn't announce it until like three weeks before the event! There was no way to get the car prepped in time.
